Dr. Lois P Frankel, contributing author to Women on Top, and Guest Speaker at our Book Launch, is the author of the international best sellers Nice Girls Don’t Get The Corner Office and Nice Girls Don’t Get Rich, coaching women to succeed in businesses large and small around the globe. Both books have been translated into over twenty-five languages. Business Week named ‘Corner Office’ one of the top ten business books of the year when it was released. See Jane Lead, her book about why women make natural leaders, and how to harness your own leadership talent, has had similar popularity.

Dr Frankel was in Australia in June 2011 to promote her newest book Nice Girls Just Don’t Get It, and joined us as Guest Speaker at our Brisbane Book Launch.

All guests received a complimentary copy of her latest book!

In 1986 Dr. Frankel was instrumental in founding MOSTE: Motivating Our Students Through Experience. With the strong conviction that achieving a diverse workforce requires encouraging at-risk girls to stay in school and go on to college, she developed a mentoring program that matches Los Angeles inner city girls with professional women. In 1996 she established the first MOSTE scholarship and gives a portion of royalties from her books to the MOSTE Scholarship Fund. In 2006 she co-chaired MOSTE’s 20th Anniversary Celebration honoring women who inspire girls, raising over $20,000. She was recognized for her volunteer efforts with MOSTE through Maybelline New York’s Women Who Empower Through Education Award and a $10,000 grant for the organization.

In 2007 Dr. Frankel founded Bloom Again Foundation. The mission of Bloom Again Foundation is to provide rapid response financial assistance to economically vulnerable working women when they need it most due to personal or family medical emergencies. Millions of these women are one paycheck away from poverty. They scrape together what’s needed to get by from paycheck to paycheck without federal assistance, but one illness in the family, a car accident, or other medical emergency is life-changing for them. Visit the Bloom Again website for more information.
