Having a desire to develop a better life for herself and her family, Diane utilized her vast work experience to get a real-world, crash course in business success. Over the next 3 years, she started a hamper business, a clothing label, acquired a café and a clothing store. Unfortunately, they all failed to take off as Diane imagined. At 25, in debt and starting out from her mum’s garage, Diane co-founded QuantumLinx, now a multimillion dollar online marketing company.

Both books have been translated into over twenty-five languages. Business Week named ‘Corner Office’ one of the top ten business books of the year when it was released. See Jane Lead, her book about why women make natural leaders, and how to harness your own leadership talent, has had similar popularity.

Dr Frankel was in Australia in June 2011 to promote her newest book Nice Girls Just Don’t Get It, and joined us as Guest Speaker at our Brisbane Book Launch.

All guests received a complimentary copy of her latest book!

Giving Back:

In 1986 Dr. Frankel was instrumental in founding MOSTE: Motivating Our Students Through Experience. With the strong conviction that achieving a diverse workforce requires encouraging at-risk girls to stay in school and go on to college, she developed a mentoring program that matches Los Angeles inner city girls with professional women. In 1996 she established the first MOSTE scholarship and gives a portion of royalties from her books to the MOSTE Scholarship Fund. In 2006 she co-chaired MOSTE’s 20th Anniversary Celebration honoring women who inspire girls, raising over $20,000. She was recognized for her volunteer efforts with MOSTE through Maybelline New York’s Women Who Empower Through Education Award and a $10,000 grant for the organization.

In 2007 Dr. Frankel founded Bloom Again Foundation. The mission of Bloom Again Foundation is to provide rapid response financial assistance to economically vulnerable working women when they need it most due to personal or family medical emergencies. Millions of these women are one paycheck away from poverty. They scrape together what’s needed to get by from paycheck to paycheck without federal assistance, but one illness in the family, a car accident, or other medical emergency is life-changing for them. Visit the Bloom Again website for more information.

Finding her passion in coaching others, she ventured back to university to gain formal qualifications as a mature age student. Sally also began successfully managing privately-owned businesses with annual turnovers of up to two million dollars and in 2000 was a finalist in the Tasmanian Telstra Business Woman awards. Sally and her family moved to Brisbane, Queensland in 2005, and in 2006 she established Jigsaw Consulting Group from her lounge room. Successfully applying strategies to build her contacts from zero, this business has become a market leader in the training, recruitment and coaching industry and now delivers throughout Australia.

Too young to become a flight attendant when she left school, she worked in the travel industry before leaving Tasmania to pursue her love of adventure. Based in London, she became the face of the Australian Tourist Commission, where her picture was displayed on the side of double-decker buses with the caption: 007 Australian Special Agent. Jenene joined Ansett, rose through the ranks and at the brink of achieving her dream to fly, a major personal challenge struck. Coinciding with the end of Ansett, she was forced to re-evaluate her direction. Within five years she gave birth to three children, lost her first born, became the sole provider of her family, witnessed escalating credit card debt and was served home repossession papers. Her dreams of balancing a job and family were shattered. Frustrated, alone, exhausted and desperate to find a way to secure the future for her young family, Tania took a leap of faith and launched her own business. Without a plan, money or anyone to help her figure things out, Tania’s unstinting faith in her abilities propelled her to success. In just five years, Tania’s international business has connected thousands of individuals around the world and her inspiring events have touched the lives of over 100,000 people.
